There are three types of classes:
Weekly 90 minute classes for four to six year olds with one dedicated teacher and teaching assistant.
Weekly classes for 7-18 year olds made up of an hour of Drama, Dance and Singing. Each class has a dedicated teacher and students are grouped together by age as they rotate through to disciplines.
Weekly 2 or 3 hour classes for students aged 15 or above.

Before you open your school you will receive a five day training course at our Head Office in Walton on Thames where you will learn more about our Stagecoach business model, our lesson and term structure, marketing your business, classroom management, child protection, our ethos, culture and our brand personality.
A dedicated Regional Franchise Manager
To be there for you as you set up your business, they will also be with you on your first day of term. Someone who is always on hand to help you with your marketing, finding a venues and launching your business so you won’t be doing it on your own.

Customised for your location with a detailed breakdown of where potential Stagecoach students are within your area to help fill your schools. The Marketing team will continue to support you throughout your career at Stagecoach offering free expert advice and guidance on how to market and grow your business.

Stagecoach has excellent working relationships with many high street lenders and funding applications are rarely refused.
To secure loan funding for a new territory a minimum investment of 30% is required. You will also need some working capital so you need to have a minimum cash investment of approximately £9,000.

Are there any particular skills or qualifications you need to be a Stagecoach franchisee?
Every franchisee needs to have a clear DBS. We also look for candidates who have one or more of the following:
You will also need a first aid qualification specifically for children. The cost of this qualification is included in your franchise package.
How much does a Stagecoach franchise cost?
A new franchise opportunity starts from just £14,995 +VAT. Resale options are also available at prices that vary depending on the business.
What training will I need to get started?
You will need to attend initial franchise training, which is held at Stagecoach Head Office in Walton-on-Thames. These courses run regularly throughout the year. In addition you’ll be able to shadow a successful franchisee to see how they run their schools.
How do I find out which areas are available?
Once you have submitted an online enquiry, we will let you know the nearest available areas to your home postcode.
Do I need a up to date DBS?
All Stagecoach Principals and teachers need a valid and up to date DBS certificate (Disclosure and Barring Service) and we will support you to arrange this during the recruitment process.
Do I have to be present for every school class?
Yes. The Principal should be present for every Stagecoach session wherever possible, however alternative arrangements can be made in extenuating circumstances.
Do the Stagecoach schools run during the holidays?
All schools take place during term time, with a break for Easter, Summer and Christmas. There is some flexibility around exact term dates and Stagecoach schools can run during half terms. You can also to run workshops and other events during school holidays if you wish.
Can I teach at the school if I am the Principal?
The role of a Principal in the school is to maintain quality and safety standards and therefore should always be available if any issues arise. Because of this the principal is not permitted to teach.
